Vitus Apotek is a chain of more than 200 pharmacies in Norway owned and run by Norsk Medisinaldepot, a subsidiary of the German company Celesio AG. It has more than 2,000 employees and more than 1 million customers 

CHALLENGE

With the new legal changes in Norway it would became possible to sell prescription drugs online.

Vitusapotek had to plan their online strategy and prepare their online platform to give their customer’ s the possibility to buy prescription drugs online.

 

SOLUTION

Pearl Consulting has delivered an omni-channel solution based on hybris Commerce Platform to support prescription drug sales online. The first major goal was to establish simplified and transparent product information management, which was achieved by enabling hybris PIM solution and product management workflows. For simplified logistics processes (pick, pack & label) hybris Order Management Module was introduced to the system landscape, which was also connected to ERP system.

To provide a true omni-channel experience for the customers, all customer service personnel have received training in hybris’ Customer Service solution.
